Lately I have been jamming on spaceships using Playscii in some of my spare time. These are three renders of spaceship bosses that could be in a shoot ’em up game. These designs are heavily inspired by classic schmups.

In the process of creating these, I took to arrange shapes in Krita, then export these and take them into PixaTool where I applied custom colour palettes and downscaled the images. I then imported the images into PlayScii and worked to bring out aesthetics that appealed to me. Once I was satisfied with them, I imported the images into Krita and applied some basic colour adjustments.
The character set I used is one called jpetscii which is a PETSCII-derived set by JP LeBreton.
